Cherbourg: 629 kms and 6hrs45 mins by car

There is also the option to take the train, to Paris and then Paris to Limoges... or Paris to Angouleme, no weight luggage restrictions on the trains. - It takes me approx 1hr to Limoges St Benedictin train Station or Angouleme about the same at 1hr drive away, which is reached via a link from Paris, and car hire is available from the station. www.raileurope.co.uk
